SpotAzores – Azores webcams in real-time

The SpotAzores project was born in August 2012 with the aim of showcasing the Azores in real-time through live webcam streaming from various strategic locations across the nine islands of the Azores.

This website and app are a real help during your stay in the Azores, providing weather updates for the locations where the service is available.

SpotAzores Webcams

An online platform that allows you to access over 35 cameras distributed across all islands in real-time. Easy to navigate, in addition to live streaming, you can access the timelapse of the selected camera from the previous day.

It also provides weather information for the location, such as minimum, maximum, and current temperatures, precipitation (mm), wind (km/h and direction), humidity percentage, atmospheric pressure (kPa), and high and low tide information.

When visiting the Azores, SpotAzores becomes a very useful tool that we recommend you save to your favorites or install the app available for mobile devices (see below).

How to Make the Most of SpotAzores During Your Stay?

Given that the weather in the Azores is quite irregular, with some places experiencing rain while others on the same island are sunny, SpotAzores allows you to check the weather and visibility of the location or point of interest you wish to visit.

Two of the most searched cameras on the island of São Miguel are Lagoa das Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo. Due to the frequent fog in these two locations, you can avoid going there when the weather conditions are not favorable, ensuring you enjoy the view/beauty.

Other Services and Broadcasts

SpotAzores Wifi

A pilot service where you can access a Wifi network through HotSpots, completely free. Currently, it is only available at Praia da Ribeira Quente in São Miguel. The project is under development, so more locations are expected to have access to this service in the future.
