Recipe for Azorean Mulata Cookie Ice Cream
Let’s start this fantastic recipe, very simple to make and with an amazing result.
Ingredients
- 2 packages of Mulata Cookies
- 3 packages of whipping cream (200ml x 3)
- Sugar to taste
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (optional)
- 1 circular mold (recommended so you can arrange the whole cookies as decoration on top – see in the video)
Preparation
To begin, place the three packages of cream in a mixer, until a firm consistency is achieved. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar and beat again. The amount of sugar is to each person’s taste. Reserve the whipped cream and keep it cold.
Next, reserve some whole cookies (5 to 10 cookies). The rest should be broken into small pieces (optionally you can grind them – which may – depending on your grinder – become too crushed. Based on this, it is suggested to put the cookies in a plastic bag and, with the help of something to hit, break the cookies into pieces, to taste.
After you have all the cookies broken up, add the coconut oil (optional) and mix.
In the mold, place the reserved whole cookies at the beginning, turned upside down (so they are in the correct position when unmolding), until the bottom is filled. Place a layer of the reserved cream on top. On top of this layer, place the crushed cookies and then, again, another layer of cream.
Once this process is completed, it’s time to put the ice cream in the freezer and let it rest for at least 6 to 8 hours. When you’re ready to enjoy the ice cream, unmold and serve immediately.
Now that you have the list of ingredients and the preparation, nothing like a video from the recipe’s author so that no detail is overlooked. Watch step by step how to make this delicious recipe:
