Passenger transport on the island of Santa Maria is carried out by TSM (Transportes Santa Maria), a consortium composed of public passenger transport companies Auto Viação Micaelense, Lda, Caetano, Raposo and Pereiras, Lda, and Varela & Cª, Lda.

Public Transport Faial

The collective passenger transport on the Island of Faial is carried out by the company Farias Lda. This company belongs to Varela & Ca., also owned by the Bensaude Group.
With a fleet consisting of 14 buses – with different configurations and capacities – it operates all public routes on the Island of Faial and also operates the Mini-Bus service in the city of Horta (see below).
