Parapente em São Miguel, Açores – Paragliding Azores

**Parapente Açores** or *Paragliding* is one of the many activities you can enjoy in the Azores. The Azores also host the Azores Paragliding Festival, which takes place in São Miguel and attracts numerous guests and professionals of the sport each edition.

This festival is recognized by Cross Country as one of the eight best Paragliding Festivals in Europe. The aerial view you can enjoy from the sky is truly unique and magical.

There are several spots as well as takeoff and landing areas suitable for paragliding in the Azores, making it a cherished destination for enthusiasts of the sport.

Although paragliding is possible all year round, the summer months are the best choice. When it comes to flying locations, there are technical cross country flights that take you over the volcanic craters of Lagoa do Fogo, Sete Cidades, Furnas, as well as the fantastic beaches and cliffs along the coast.
