The largest religious festivity of the Azores Archipelago features an extensive program of Eucharistic celebrations, highlighted by the Procession of the Moving of the Image of the Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres, the Outdoor Mass and the main Procession on the principal day of the feast, Sunday.

This event attracts every year thousands of tourists, Azorean residents and emigrants, who return to their origins as an act of faith and, in many cases, to fulfill their promises to the Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres.

The festivities take place between 2 and 14 May 2026 in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, and include the Preparatory Triduum, the Procession of the Moving, the Outdoor Mass and the closing in honour of Madre Teresa da Anunciada.
