Natural Pools of Varadouro – Faial Island

The Natural Pools of Varadouro are formed by black basaltic rocks, which are lava flows that reached the sea after the eruption, giving rise to the rocks.

The Natural Pools of Varadouro have warm, salty waters. In summer, the average temperature is around 22ºC. Due to the tropical climate in Fajã do Varadouro, even in winter, temperatures remain mild, providing an excellent experience for visitors.
