Graciosa Island

The Island of Graciosa belongs to the Central Group of the Azores Archipelago. It has an area of 60.84 km2 and a population of 5,500 inhabitants. It measures 10 km in length and 7 km in width. Of volcanic origin, the Island of Graciosa has a very steep terrain in the southern part, where the Caldeira peak is located at 402 m. Along the rugged coastline, there are two bays where the ports of Vila da Praia and Santa Cruz da Graciosa are situated.
