Corvo Island

The island of Corvo is the smallest island in the Azores Archipelago. With an area of 17.2 km2, a length of 6.5 km, and a width of 4 km, the Island of Corvo, along with the Island of Flores, forms the Western Group of the Azores Archipelago. It is made up of a single extinct volcanic mountain—Monte Gordo, crowned with a large collapse crater locally called Caldeirão.
