Castelo Branco Viewpoint
“Discover one of the most stunning viewpoints on São Miguel island, Açores: Miradouro de Castelo Branco. Overlooking the village and lake of Furnas, this viewpoint offers vistas of the volcanic valley and Lagoa das Furnas, as well as the Atlantic Ocean on both the north and south sides of the island. Built by private owners at an unknown date, the Castelo Branco tower allegedly served to watch over the adjacent lands.”
