Photo Gallery: Air Base No. 5 Detachment (Air Force) Flew Over All 9 Islands of the Azores

The detachment of Air Base No. 5 operated in the Azores, conducting Air-to-Air and Air-to-Surface missions as part of operational training for its pilots.

The detachment at Air Base No. 4 (Lajes, Terceira Island) enabled the execution of aerial operations across various scenarios. Following an Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground training mission integrated with a P3C from Squadron 601 – Lobos, the F-16s from the Falcons and Jaguars squadrons flew over all nine islands of the Azores Archipelago in a single flight.
