Praia do Almoxarife

The Praia do Almoxarife is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Located in Horta, in the parish of Almoxarife, it features a vast stretch of black sand and excellent visitor infrastructure. It offers a spectacular view of Pico Island and is very popular with young people and families due to its good conditions.

Praia da Conceição, also known as Praia da Alagoa, is located in the bay of Horta, in the parish of Conceição. The beach’s sand is dark brown and very soft. It has a beautiful location with stunning views of the Marina da Horta and Pico Island.

Praia da Fajã (Praia do Norte)

The Praia da Fajã or Praia do Norte is located on the northern part of the island. The sea is quite rough, making it excellent for surfing. The beach is incredibly beautiful, contrasting the dark tones of the sand and volcanic rocks with the surrounding green vegetation.

Praia de Porto Pim

The Praia de Porto Pim is located in the bay of Porto Pim, in the city of Horta. This beach was settled by the island’s first inhabitants in the 15th century. It stands out for its natural beauty and proximity to the Monte da Guia. The beach features a long stretch of fine sand, crystal-clear waters, and very pleasant temperatures.
Praia de Porto Pim has good conditions for windsurfing and diving and offers excellent visitor infrastructure.

Piscinas de Castelo Branco
The Piscinas de Castelo Branco were formed by the cuts in the rock formations and are an excellent place for relaxation and leisure among friends and family. The waters are always renewed and have visitor support facilities, including changing rooms, picnic areas, and a playground.

Piscinas Naturais do Varadouro

The Piscinas do Varadouro are located on the western coast of the island, at Fajã do Varadouro. The site has good visitor support infrastructure, and you can choose to stay in the tranquil natural pools or head to the sea right next to it. The beach offers a beautiful view of the Morro de Castelo Branco.
